Hazardous Materials Storage Units

The storage of hazardous materials is covered by strict Health and Safety legislation. Any business which has a requirement to store on their premises hazardous substances or flammable liquids must comply with all health and safety regulations. These regulations are necessary so employees can work safely.

It is up to employers to reduce risks in the work environment. The purchase of specialist storage units that have been designed to hold such hazardous substances is the best way of ensuring a business does not fail to meet health and safety regulations. A business which fails to meet its obligations can find itself facing legal action.

Our hazardous materials storage units have been especially constructed to securely and safely hold hazardous materials in the workplace. Our COSHH Storage Cabinets comply with all the current Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations and is a safe, segregated storage solution for hazardous substances.

The larger cabinets have three-point lockable doors for additional security. All the cabinets have an integral leak proof sump base which ensures that any accidental spills or leakages are contained within the unit.

To increase the strength of the cabinet it is constructed from powder-coated steel and has reinforced doors. The cabinets have a super-strong finish that ensures each cabinet will stand up to the harshest of conditions. Storing hazardous substances not only requires that the substances be stored in a secure and strong location, but also that it is labelled clearly so that all employees are aware of what is in the cabinet.

All the labelling on the cabinets complies with the current Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) regulations. The cabinets come with a Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) diamond label marking the contents as ‘harmful/irritant’. Additional labels are available including ‘health hazard’, ‘aquatic toxicity’, ‘acute toxicity’ and ‘corrosive’.

Our Dangerous Materials Storage Trolleys are ideal for storing such materials. They are clearly marked and will ensure all employees are aware of what the cabinet contains and the need for additional care in handling its contents. The unit has one shelf and lockable double doors for extra security.

The Hazardous Material Storage Cabinet provides half-hour protection from collapse and the passage of flames in the event of a fire. The base of the unit contains a single drip tray to catch any accidental spills. An adjustable vent prevents the build-up of dangerous vapours.

Our Stackable Dangerous Substance Cabinets make the most of limited floor space. The units each have labels that clearly identify the fact that they contain hazardous substances. The double doors are fitted with a three-point lockable handle with two keys. The cabinet has a single galvanised shelf and an integral leak-proof sump to catch any spills and leakages.
