Lorraine is the longest serving member of the team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. That would probably be the reason why she can recall weight load capacities for workbenches from the top of her head. She is also our resident expert in shelters, matting and containers. Trust Lorraine to check on product application so she can give you the best advice saving your precious time. When she is not working she is working out, primarily enjoying running and tennis.
Sarah joined Welco in 2004. She deals solely with partitioning and office refurbishment projects. Be warned, she is not afraid to go the extra mile, like the time she negotiated for project work to be done out of hours to suit the customer’s production schedule. When the business day ends, you can find her curled up with a good book and a cup of tea.
Mervyn has been with us for 21 years. During this time Mervyn built up an extensive knowledge of office furniture, health equipment and products required for the education sector. He can advise you on the best product for your application and tell you the fire rating for a range of fabrics without looking it up. Away from the office Mervyn claims to breathe, eat and sleep a variety of music.
Steve is the “newest” recruit here at Welco, even though he has been with us for 11 years. He is the main man when it comes to dealing with enquiries about cloakrooms, mezzanine floors and trucks & trolleys. On top of that he can recommend on the spot the best locker and locker accessories for your application and environment. Glued to a computer at work, at home he prefers to be glued to a TV. That’s what we call dedication and a true film buff.
Annette is celebrating 20 years with Welco this year. During this time she has developed a talent for identifying a product from a code, without looking it up. She is also the go to person for anything to do with sites and facilities. Expect her to go above and beyond for you, even so far as to source products outside the standard range. After a hard day’s work, you can find her in the kitchen baking up a storm.
Katie has been with Welco since 2000. Her role in Purchasing is pivotal for the Welco customer as well as for the business. She works closely with our suppliers to maintain a high quality service. Once you place your order with us, it is Katie who makes sure that it is delivered to you on time. In her spare time, she channels her creative energy through knitting and crocheting.
Melissa joined us back in 1995. What Melissa enjoys doing most is devising the best solutions for your shelving, pallet racking and conveyor system queries. Expect her to check the overall size of your shelving bay as you would usually need more space than the sizing stated in our catalogue or website. On her days off she is usually visiting a foreign country, covering off several destinations a year.
Ellen has been a Sales Manager here at Welco for 29 years. Her knowledge of the business is second to none. Once she knows what you need, she works her heart out to provide the best possible solution. One of the stories we love to hear is how Ellen managed to source a scissor table to transport the largest chocolate bar in the world made by a Midland Confectioner. Yep, no job is too small. She works hard, but also plays hard and makes time for leisure travel.
Neil has been with us since 1998. As your Local Technical Sales Representative he is the one that will visit your site to provide technical advice, a design layout (if necessary), and cost estimates. Whether you require help with mezzanine floors, partitioning, conveyors, pallet racking, mobile shelving or live storage, Neil is your man. When he is not at your site, he prefers to spend quality time with his family.
